Now Her Child Gets Rp 10 Million Per Month, 8 Portraits of the Story of Amalia Fujiawati, Former Siri Wife of Bambang Pamungkas who Fought Hard in Court

Amalia Fujiawati claims to have been married to Bambang Pamungkas, also known as Bepe, in 2018. From that marriage, they were blessed with two children. In 2020, Amalia and Bepe divorced. The reason for the divorce is unknown.

At that time, Amalia became the second wife because Bepe was still legally married to Tribuana Tungga Dewi, whom he married in 2001.

Conflict arose when Bepe refused to acknowledge Amalia's two children as his own. At that time, Amalia tried to contact Bepe personally. However, her efforts hit a dead end.

In the end, Amalia decided to sue Bepe in the South Jakarta Religious Court in April 2021. In her lawsuit, Amalia asked Bepe to acknowledge and take responsibility for the monthly expenses for their two children.

In September 2021, the South Jakarta Religious Court ruled that the two children were not the result of Bambang Pamungkas' marriage. So, did Amalia give up just like that?

Not giving up, Amalia filed an appeal by attaching the DNA test results of Bambang Pamungkas' biological child, Jane Abel (from his first wife), and two biological children of Amalia.

Her efforts paid off. In the end, the High Religious Court decided that both of Amalia's children are Bepe's biological children.

The High Court also sentenced Bepe to provide Rp 7 million in alimony to his two children. Bepe, who was dissatisfied with the decision, filed a cassation effort.

The cassation was rejected, and the Supreme Court instead increased the punishment by requiring Bambang Pamungkas to provide Rp 10 million per month in alimony for two children.

"According to the Supreme Court, the decision of the judex facti needs to be corrected regarding the amount of child alimony, which was determined by the judex facti to be Rp 7 million per month, and then the Supreme Court applied it to be Rp 10 million per month," said the spokesperson for the Supreme Court, quoted via CNN Indonesia on Friday (2/9/2022).
