Now Wearing Hijab, These Are the Changes Felt by Venna Melinda

Kapanlagi.com - Venna Melinda feels many changes within herself after deciding to wear hijab. Previously, she was an impatient, panicky, and easily emotional person. But after wearing hijab, these characteristics have started to decrease and she feels more calm now.

"I used to be an impatient person, I used to easily get emotional, I used to panic, I always had plans like by this year I should be like this, in five years I should be like this. But after wearing hijab, I feel much calmer. We still make efforts, but Allah determines the outcome," said Venna Melinda when contacted by Kapanlagi, on Wednesday (3/6).

1. Change of Mindset

Besides being calmer, there have been many changes in her mindset. Now she doesn't want to push herself too hard in living her life.

"So, I'm really calmer, which is not really like me a few weeks ago. But after wearing the hijab, my mindset also started to change, where I'm not too obsessed and I enjoy it more. I don't worry about what will happen tomorrow anymore," said Ivan Fadilla's ex-wife.

2. Learning to Recite the Quran

Not only that, Verrell Bramasta's mother will also regularly learn to recite the Quran with a teacher, even if it's only through zoom meetings. During Ramadan in the midst of the corona virus pandemic, Venna Melinda has a lot of time to recite the Quran.

"God willing, next week I will have Iqra lessons. Besides my attire, I also want to deepen my knowledge of religion. I have joined a religious study group for the past 10 years, but I have been busy with politics," said Venna Melinda.

"In previous Ramadans, I didn't even read the Qur'an, but last year, because of the PSBB, Marini (Zumarnis) suddenly invited me to join her religious study group. So we read the Qur'an through zoom meetings. Because of the PSBB, I am more punctual in performing prayers and my prayers have become longer," she concluded.
