Nycta Gina and Rizky Kinos Celebrate Their 9th Wedding Anniversary, The Gift is Sincere Love and a Tumblr for Coffee

"I just forgot to give a gift, the gift is a song, so we can remember it until we grow old," Kinos said when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (27/8/2024).

Meanwhile, Gina gave a gift that seemed simple but was full of meaning: a tumbler. According to Gina, this gift was chosen because Kinos often showed interest in tumblers when they were at the mall, but always hesitated to buy one. So, Gina decided to make it a gift so Kinos could use it to enjoy coffee every day.

"Giving sincere affection, I gave a tumbler, just a tumbler because Kinos often looked at it in the mall, wanted to buy it but didn't, wanted to buy it but didn't, said it was for coffee. So I bought it as a gift," said Gina.

During their nine years together, Nycta Gina and Rizky Kinos admitted to learning a lot from their marriage journey. Kinos stated that their household runs peacefully because they follow the process calmly.

"Alhamdulillah, everything is under control, let's follow the process," he said.

Kinos and Gina were also surprised by their child's growth, especially the youngest, Uti, who is now attending an international school with English as the medium of instruction. This has become a challenge for them due to their limited English proficiency.

"I was shocked because the youngest, Uti, is already in elementary school at an international school, with English as the medium of instruction, while the parents' English is just average," said Kinos.

Gina also admitted that over time, they no longer worry about trivial matters that often occurred at the beginning of their marriage. Now, their focus is more on taking care of the children and managing daily life. They always try to be present together, like taking their kids to school on a motorcycle every morning, even if it's just within the housing complex.

In the division of roles, Gina admitted to being stricter when it comes to her children's academic matters, while Kinos is more relaxed and serves as a source of comfort. Gina, who is an only child, feels a significant challenge in raising her own child, often being referred to by her youngest child as a mother who “always works by getting angry” because she rarely plays with them like Kinos does.

"I am very much into academics. I am an only child, so I can't play, even with my own child. My little one often says, 'Mom always works by getting angry and never invites me to play like Dad does'," she concluded.
