Officially Appointed as Thalassemia Ambassador, Gersha Jagwani Fully Supported by Rano Karno

Kapanlagi.com - The name Gersha Jagwani has recently been in the spotlight due to her concern for Thalassemia disease. Gersha herself is the daughter of Adam Jagwani, also known as Hans, one of the characters in the soap opera SI DOEL ANAK SEKOLAHAN.

Several times, Gersha has been seen actively visiting and entertaining Thalassemia patients at various hospitals. She was also appointed as the Thalassemia Millennial Ambassador some time ago. Then, she was officially inaugurated on Saturday (4/1) at Harapan Bunda Hospital, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta.

"Today, I was officially appointed as the Thalassemia Ambassador, sanctioned by the Thalassemia Indonesia Foundation," said Gersha Jagwani after the inauguration.

1. Support from Rano Karno

Interestingly, this inauguration process was also witnessed directly by Rano Karno, who is none other than a friend of Adam Jagwani. After the event, Rano Karno himself admitted that he had just learned about what Thalassemia is. His heart trembled when he heard many sad stories about Thalassemia.

Full support was given by Rano Karno to Gersha, who became the ambassador for Thalassemia. According to him, Gersha's task, being young, is not an easy thing to go through.

"I asked her father why she wanted to become an ambassador, it turns out there is a story in her father's office. She willingly did it herself, you know. It's great that a 16-year-old child cares. I told her that Gersha's task is quite heavy because she enters this millennial era, entering a new bride, so to speak," said Rano Karno.

2. Having Important Tasks

As a Thalassemia Millennial Ambassador, Gersha has three important tasks. Socialization, breaking the chain, and screening are the three main tasks to overcome Thalassemia. In the near future, she will also visit many schools for socialization.

"My next program is to socialize about Thalassemia in hospitals and schools," she said.

For the next three years, Gersha will be the Thalassemia Millennial Ambassador. However, after that, she admitted that she does not want to let go and leave activities related to Thalassemia.

"As an ambassador, the active period is three years, but after my active period ends, I will still help with socialization. It won't stop at three years," she concluded.
