Kapanlagi.com - The Tondano District Court in North Sulawesi granted the request of Serda Aprilio Perkasa Manganang to change their gender from female to male on Friday (19/3). As a soldier in the Indonesian Army, there will certainly be adjustments to Manganang's duties after assuming a new identity.

Therefore, the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Andika Perkasa, stated that Serda Aprilio is planned to be assigned to the Army Supply and Transportation unit. Andika sees that Serda Aprilio is talented in the field of cooking.

"Their potential will be more utilized if I place them in a position that involves more field work or practice. For example, I think it would be more appropriate to assign them to supply and transportation," said Chief of Staff Andika Perkasa when met at the Army Headquarters in Central Jakarta on Friday (19/3).

1. Naturally Talented in Cooking

In that unit, cooking is not only done by women but also by men. Because according to Aprilio, who is now called Lanang, he has a natural talent in cooking as he has been taught by his mother since he was little.

"Coincidentally, Lanang has been taught to cook by his mother since he was little. So, his cooking skills are excellent and natural. For example, if a male soldier in the Army cooks lodeh, he would use a theory like one spoonful of sugar, but Lanang is already natural at it," he said.

2. Very Promising in the Future

This four-star general also believes that Aprilio will be very successful in that unit in the future. In fact, he said that Sergeant Aprilio will be on par with a chef.

"With his potential for quick learning, I believe that one day he can become a soldier in the Army's supply division at a level like a chef," he concluded.
