Once Accused of Stealing, Here’s Nunung’s Struggle to Make Her Parents and Grandchildren Happy!

Nunung herself has faced tough times and even worked as a courier to help her family eat. Despite the challenges and stigma they faced, Nunung and her family remained grateful for the changes that occurred after Nunung became an artist.

"My mother had six siblings and one of them was very rich," recalled Nunung as quoted by Rumpi Trans TV.

"Eventually, the others followed the very rich one, my mother was kind of pushed away," she continued.

1. Accused of Stealing by Her Own Family

Nunung and her family now live with better dignity and are no longer accused of stealing. Nunung shares her memories of having to struggle against accusations from her family.

"If they have a big event, we are not allowed to step in there, my brother and I," Nunung said with a trembling voice.

"(But) if something is missing in their house, they accuse my family. (In fact) We have never even stepped in," she continued with tear-filled eyes.

2. Once Sold Batik

Nunung once sold batik and worked as a call singer to support her life. She had to sing from stage to stage, which helped her build confidence and opened opportunities to join Srimulat in the 80s.

She then acted in the soap opera Si Doel Anak Sekolahan, which helped her become more popular. She also became one of the funniest comedians on the show Opera Van Java.

3. Support 50 Family Members

Nunung has to support 50 family members, including children, grandchildren, uncles, aunts, and nieces. She has to work hard to meet their needs, even spending all her savings to provide for them.

"There was a change when I became Nunung, I could make my family happy, elevate my extended family's status, they are good," said Nunung.

4. Still Active in the Entertainment World for the Family

Nunung is now 61 years old and has achieved success in her career. Nunung is still active in the entertainment world; she feels that there are still many things she can do to bring happiness to her grandchildren.

After experiencing a drug case, Nunung was worried about the public's reaction. However, she received support from her colleagues and the workplace that welcomed her back. May she always be granted health and strength to make her beloved family happy.
