Once Mekel Explains the Chronology of the Disease Suffered by the Late Mother

Kapanlagi.com - Senior singer, Once Mekel is currently mourning. His mother, Josephine Mekel Cambey, passed away today, Friday (26/6) at the age of 80. The news initially spread through broadcasts from Once's family.

When met by the media at the funeral home, Once explained the chronology of the illness suffered by his late mother. One thing emphasized by the singer of Dealova is that his mother did not die from the covid-19 virus or corona.

"She had been sick at home for 6 days. First, she had a complaint about a boil at the base of her thigh. We thought it was just a minor issue, but her condition weakened. Because she had difficulty eating, we took her to the hospital, and after being diagnosed, it turns out that her blood sugar level was very high, so she was immediately admitted to the ICU. After being diagnosed, there was no infection like Covid-19, but there was an infection due to a wound in the lower part of her body. The wound was difficult to heal because of high blood sugar and vice versa. So there was a kind of complication, there was bacteria," Once explained at the GPIB Jemaat Kharisma funeral home, South Jakarta, Friday (26/6/2020).

1. Once's Mother Receives Intensive Care in the ICU

After receiving the diagnosis, the late mother also received intensive care. However, in the end, her life could not be saved. Once admitted that he has accepted it.

"She was tried to be treated but even though many efforts have been made, medications, God had a different plan. God called my mother today, and my family and I have accepted it. Indeed, there have been no health complaints, relatively very energetic, very healthy, and in very good condition," said the 50-year-old man.

2. No Premonition at All

Once admitted that he had no premonition at all before his mother passed away. The reason is that the deceased is known to have no history of serious illness.

"There is none (sickness history), as far as I know, my mother has no serious history like that. There is none (premonition), but after seeing the condition, I have prepared my heart and mind to accept the worst consequences," Once concluded.

Once's mother's body is planned to be buried at Sandiego Hills on Sunday (28/6) tomorrow.
