Feeling Deep Grief, Barry Likumahuwa: I Believe God Takes Care of Him Well

Kapanlagi.com - Barry Likumahuwa expresses how sad and lost he feels over the passing of his father, Benny Likumahuwa. He admits that something is missing in his life. However, he reveals that he has no worries because he believes his father is in a better place.

"If you ask me what is missing, I truly believe that he is already with God, so I don't need to worry," said Barry when met at the mourning house in Ciputat, Tangerang, on Tuesday (9/6/2020).

1. Feeling Homesick

However, he admitted that he would greatly miss the presence of his father. Not only as a father, but Benny was also a performing partner who often appeared together with him on stage. Barry even revealed that so far, no one could match the chemistry he felt with Benny on stage.

"When I perform with him, it's like having a dialogue, I haven't met anyone else who can play like that, that's what I remember the most," he added.

2. Cool Chatting Buddy

Barry revealed that as a child, he really missed his father. For him, Benny was a very cool person and they could talk about many things. From music to life issues, Barry learned a lot from his father.

"But as a father figure, I will definitely miss him a lot because he was a really cool chatting buddy, especially when talking about jazz, talking about life," he continued.

3. Lost But Not Empty

Although admitting that there is a missing figure, Barry claims not to feel empty. Because, he believes that God has taken better care of his father. He hopes that his father is in a much more comfortable condition.

"If you say he's missing, then he's missing, but I don't feel empty because I believe God is taking good care of him, I feel he's more comfortable there," said Barry.
