Teduhkan Bulan Ramadan, Single 'Istigfar Sak Kuatmu' Owned by the Late Didi Kempot Released

Kapanlagi.com - The campur sari musician Didi Kempot passed away due to sudden cardiac arrest on May 5th. His sudden departure left behind some unreleased works, including a film and a new album consisting of ten songs.

To bring solace during the holy month of Ramadan, the SKI Records label, which oversees Didi Kempot's latest album, has released a different single with a religious theme. The song, composed by Perdana Abdillah, is titled Istigfar Sak Kuatmu.

1. Didi Kempot Enthusiastic

Achmad Yusuf, the producer, said that Didi Kempot was very enthusiastic when he received this song. Because, Istigfar Sak Kuatmu became the first religious song for the owner of the birth name Dionisius Prasetyo.

"Mas Didi was very happy when offered to sing this song Istigfar Sak Kuatmu. He was enthusiastic because he rarely sings religious-themed songs," said Yusuf as quoted from a WhatsApp message received by KapanLagi.com, last week.

2. There Are Changes

As the name suggests, creative ideas always involve changes for perfection. Didi Kempot also did the same in his new song to make it sound more interesting.

"Because there was input from Mas Didi, there were slight changes to the notes and lyrics. The vocal take was done before he passed away, it's just that at that time the music was not finished yet," Yusuf concluded.
