Pandji Pragiwaksono Undergoes Examination at Bareskrim Polri, Answering 48 Questions about the Toraja Custom Case

Comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono visited Bareskrim Polri to provide testimony regarding allegations of insulting the Toraja custom on Monday (2/2/2026). Pandji was accompanied by his lawyer, Haris Azhar, to fulfill the investigator's summons following a report filed by the Toraja Youth Alliance.

The examination that took place earlier this week is related to Pandji's stand-up comedy material in a performance titled "Mesakke Bangsaku" recorded in 2013. Although the video has been circulating for a long time, the reporting party only raised legal issues about it at the end of 2025.

"I received a summons related to the case in Toraja," said Pandji Pragiwaksono at the Criminal Investigation Agency of the National Police, Monday (2/2/2026).

The legal representative, Haris Azhar, revealed that his client could only be physically present for this summons. This was because Pandji was not in the country when the first summons was issued by the police.

"This is a summons, being examined for the first time. The summons has been issued twice, but at that time Pandji was not in Indonesia," said Haris Azhar.

The examination process took quite a long time, where Pandji was in the investigator's room from morning until evening. The investigator asked dozens of questions to delve into the content of the video that was the subject of the report. "Since 11 AM. There are 48 (questions) regarding the video material," said Pandji.

Regarding the continuation of this case, Pandji admitted that he had already apologized to the Torajan community long before the police report was made. However, he still respects the reporter's decision to resolve this issue through the legal channels in Indonesia.

"Actually, an apology has been made and is available for the public to see. But perhaps this is just continuing the report. So I will just follow the process," concluded Pandji.
