Paula Verhoeven Visits the Religious Court, Wants to Reapply for Child Custody?

The Public Relations of the South Jakarta Religious Court, Dede Rika Nurhasanah, confirmed the arrival of Paula at her office on that Friday. However, the court could not disclose the specific reason for Paula's presence, considering that her divorce case at the first level has already been resolved and now the jurisdiction has changed following the appeal decision.

"If the person in question did indeed come here, that is true. But to provide information about that, we do not have the authority to give that because we, the South Jakarta Religious Court, do not have a direct interest in the person's arrival here," she stated when met at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Monday (24/11/2025).

The court emphasized that Paula's presence was not due to a court summons or an official invitation from the panel of judges of the South Jakarta Religious Court. This raises suspicions that Paula came on her own initiative, possibly to consult or handle administrative matters related to further legal actions such as cassation.

"It's just that the place is here. But the one who invited is not the South Jakarta PA," Dede Rika added, emphasizing Paula's arrival status.

Amidst the issue of Paula wanting to regain custody rights because she is being hindered from meeting her child, Dede Rika provided clarification based on the data currently available in the court registry. He confirmed that as of this moment, there has been no new lawsuit filed by Paula regarding the child custody dispute at the South Jakarta Religious Court.

"There is no application for child rights, there is no custody rights," he firmly dismissed rumors of any new lawsuits that have been submitted.

Nevertheless, Dede Rika did not deny that Paula's arrival must have a specific purpose. However, due to its closed nature and not being part of an official first-instance court agenda, the public relations department does not have the capacity to explain the details of the issues being handled by the mother of two children.

"We also cannot provide information about that. It is not our authority to explain that," he continued, maintaining the privacy of the visitors.

Regarding the rumors that Paula is strategizing to counter the decision of the Religious High Court that favored Baim Wong, Dede Rika suggested that the media crew directly confirm with Paula's side. This is to ensure that the information regarding the actual situation between Paula and access to meet the child can be clearer.

"If you want to be clearer, just ask the person concerned. It would be clearer if you ask the person involved," he concluded.
