The departure of Oxavia Aldiano, affectionately known as Vidi Aldiano, has brought sorrow to many, including Pevita Pearce. The close friendship between these two proud Indonesian artists has apparently been built solidly since Pevita was still in high school.
The actress, born in 1992, reminisces about the early days of her acquaintance with the always-smiling singer. Their bond of friendship has indeed been strong since Pevita was still sitting in high school.
As a form of support for each other's careers, the two even collaborated on a visual masterpiece in the past. Pevita was once chosen to be the main model for one of the music videos of the late artist's hit song.
"Since I was in high school. High school, yes. I also used to be in Vidi's music video for the song 'Cemburu Menguras Hati'," he said at TPU Tanah Kusir, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, on Monday (09/03/2026).
Growing up and maturing together while navigating the harsh entertainment industry has given them a plethora of invaluable memories. Vidi has always been there to send full support when Pevita held her wedding with Mirzan Meer some time ago.
"At that time, I also invited him to my wedding, but because my wedding invitations were sent out last minute, he couldn't attend. However, he sent support, sent prayers, and yes... yes," he explained to KapanLagi.com
Besides reminiscing about the fragments of memories with the late, Pevita also has a tremendous sense of empathy for Sheila Dara Aisha. She is well aware of how shattered and heavy the reality must be for the late's wife at this moment.
The younger sibling of Keenan Pearce praised Sheila's resilience in caring for Vidi amidst the onslaught of kidney cancer. Nevertheless, she refrained from directly contacting Sheila to respect the mourning period."Sheila is really amazing in facing all of this. I haven't had the chance to talk to her directly," she said.
Pevita canceled her intention to send a condolence message via her device after being warned by her closest friend."Yesterday I wanted to text, but Naya said to wait because the situation seems quite overwhelming for her, I totally understand," she concluded.
