Kapanlagi.com - Grief is being felt by Chua Kotak and Dewi Sandra as their second father-in-law, H. Mahidin HMS, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, after being treated at a hospital in Jakarta.

After being laid in the funeral home, the body was buried at Al Makmur Cemetery in Ciganjur, South Jakarta, on Sunday, June 2.

The burial took place after the funeral prayer near the funeral home. Dozens of people were seen attending the funeral, including family members, relatives, and people who knew the deceased during his lifetime.

Prayers were recited until the deceased's body merged with the ground. Agus Rahman, who is Dewi Sandra's husband, also appeared strong during the funeral procession.

On that occasion, Chua requested prayers for her father-in-law to be forgiven for all his intentional or unintentional sins.

"Thank you to the media friends for your prayers, hopefully, there are many prayers for my father-in-law so that his good deeds will be accepted," Chua concluded.

Firmansyah Mahidin Putra, Chua's husband, appeared strong during the funeral process of his beloved father. However, it was not the same for their first child, Raja Sabda Sakha Putra Firmansyah, who cried upon seeing his grandfather being buried.

According to Chua, her late father-in-law was very close to his grandchildren. That's what made their first child cry and deeply miss the person he loved so much.

"The grandchildren call him Kokong. Kokong is close to all of his grandchildren, no matter who they are. Kokong can divide his time intensively with all of his grandchildren," Chua said after the funeral.

"So, the grandchildren feel close and thankfully my child experienced that moment, which is why he cried earlier," Chua added.

In addition, Chua mentioned that the late grandfather was known for his sense of humor and being a good person, especially towards his grandchildren.

"He often gave them pocket money and took them out to have fun and go around," Chua said.
