Sad news comes from the entertainment world of the homeland, renowned presenter Gilang Dirga has just lost his main pillar. His beloved father, Wendi Indra bin M. Yasin, has passed away to Rahmatullah on Wednesday, January 31, 2025. The atmosphere of mourning enveloped the extended family during the burial ceremony amidst overcast weather, reflecting the deep sorrow of those left behind.

The body of the late Wendi Indra was buried in a Public Cemetery (TPU) located not far from the family's private residence in the Jati Bening area, Bekasi, on the same day. After being prayed for at the local mosque, the funeral procession arrived at the burial site at exactly 10:15 AM WIB. Dozens of mourners, consisting of relatives, neighbors, and fellow artists, were present to pay their last respects to the deceased.

Strength was shown by Gilang Dirga during the funeral procession. Although his eyes appeared swollen, Gilang remained strong and decided to go directly to the grave to welcome his father's body.

With full affection, he laid his father's body in the final resting place and recited the adhan with a trembling voice that still resonated loudly in the ears of the mourners.

The presence of immediate family also provided emotional support for Gilang. His wife, Adiezty Fersa, was seen accompanying him along with their young child.

Not only family, close friends of Gilang such as Irfan Hakim were also seen in the front line. Irfan was present as a form of solidarity and moral support for his friend who was experiencing the tragedy of losing a beloved parent.

The atmosphere of sorrow was overwhelming as the process of closing the grave began. Gilang Dirga's mother, Risna, could not hold back her tears upon realizing that her husband was now gone. Sobs broke out in the burial area, especially when the earth began to cover the corpse.

After the burial process was completed, Gilang Dirga stood in front of the grave to deliver a brief speech on behalf of the extended family. With a composed voice, he expressed gratitude and apologized to all the mourners present at the burial site.

"Assalamu'alaikum. We are the family of Mr. Wendi Indra bin M. Yasin. On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you for your presence and the prayers offered for the deceased. I apologize if during his lifetime, the deceased ever hurt the hearts of all of you," said Gilang Dirga.

"We, the family, sincerely apologize. If the deceased has any debts, please inform us, God willing, we will discuss it together," added Gilang Dirga.

The event was closed with a joint prayer led by a local religious leader. After the prayer ended, the family members one by one sprinkled flowers on the still wet grave as a final sign of their love.
