Pierre Gruno's High Blood Pressure Rises After Being Named a Suspect in Alleged Assault Case

As a result, the questioning continued directly by the investigators towards Pierre, not as a witness, but as a suspect. The sudden change in status was unexpected for the 69-year-old man.

"This is the first time dealing with the police, maybe he was surprised, today's agenda was an interview as a witness, suddenly this quickly (becoming a suspect), maybe he was surprised," said Richard Leonard, Pierre's legal counsel at the South Jakarta Metro Police, on Friday (14/7/2023) early morning.

1. High Blood Pressure Rises

A lot of mental burden because suddenly his status became a suspect apparently had an impact on Pierre's health. His high blood pressure suddenly rose.

"Tired but earlier I bought high blood pressure medicine, and ate because I had to eat first, right?" said Richard. "Indeed, he is already sick, so he takes medicine, but if he is a little stressed, his illness tends to rise," Richard added.

Richard said that Pierre has regretted his actions and has apologized to the victim. Although the complainant has forgiven him, he still wants the legal process to continue.

"The complainant has also forgiven, but the legal process will still proceed. I forgive Pierre and I don't hold a grudge at all," he concluded.

2. Pierre Gruno Case

As a reminder, senior actor Pierre Gruno was reported for alleged assault by someone with the initials GDS. The incident occurred at a bar in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta.

As a result of the assault, GDS was said to have suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital. The report is recorded in the Police Report (LP) Number: LP/B/1981/VI/2023/SPKT/Polres Metro Jaksel/Polda Metro Jaya, with the alleged assault regulated in Article 351 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP).
