Aya Asahina is a Japanese actress who began her career in 2013. Aya was born on October 6, 1993, in Sumoto, Japan.
Aya Asahina married on July 26, 2021, to Kenjiro Yamashita. On March 25, 2024, they announced the birth of their first child, a son.
In her career journey, after graduating from vocational high school, Aya worked as a midwife assistant at a local obstetrics and gynecology clinic for about a year and a half. While working at the clinic, she was approached by an acquaintance who suggested that she work as an event model.
Aya was recruited by the talent agency E-Smile and signed a contract with them in 2013. From there, she began working as a "race queen" under the stage name "Aya Kitagawa.
In 2014, Aya moved to Ikushima Planning Office and began working under her real name, Aya Asahina. On October 13, she was selected as the grand prize winner at the DHC Cinderella Awards, and began working as an exclusive model for the January issue of the fashion magazine Ray, which was released in November of that year.
Aya Asahina started her career in acting in 2017. She made her acting debut in the Amazon original drama TOKYO ALICE. Her excellent acting led her to play Kurihara Nagisa in the TBS drama titled CHEER DANCE.  Â
