A series of Indonesian artists have shown their concern for the victims of the Lewotobi volcano disaster in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, which erupted on November 4, 2024. Andien, a singer known for her melodious voice, also contributed to the fundraising efforts to help the disaster victims. She encouraged her fans to donate through the provided platform.
"Our brothers and sisters over there have lost their homes, schools, and access to basic needs," said Andien Aisyah as quoted from her Instagram on Monday (18/11/2024).
This talented young artist is also not left behind. Marion Jola is helping the recovery of the disaster-affected areas. She has been raising funds on Kitabisa.com and has successfully collected IDR 160 million since it started 12 days ago.
"(The residents affected by the eruption of Mount Lewotobi) Houses are damaged, fields are covered with ash, and they have lost their livelihoods. Children and the elderly are forced to stay in evacuation centers due to limited access, food, clothing, and medicine; this news is less heard on social media," said Marion Jola.
Next, there is senior musician, Andre Hehanussa, who went directly to the evacuation center of Mount Lewotobi to provide assistance.
