The issue of Denny Sumargo reported by the South Sulawesi Family Harmony Community (KKSS) ended peacefully. The KKSS decided to withdraw their report and reconcile with Denny.
During the reconciliation process that took place today, Tuesday, (12/11), Denny and KKSS apologized to each other. In addition, he also stated that he would address the report from Farhat Abbas, who threatened to take their case to legal proceedings.
The polemic between Denny Sumargo and the South Sulawesi Family Harmony Community (KKSS) has finally ended peacefully. Previously, Denny was reported due to allegations of hate speech involving certain races and ethnicities. To resolve the issue, Denny met directly with the KKSS representatives at the BPP KKSS Office, Bendungan Hilir, Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/11/2024).
During the meeting, Denny thanked the Chairman of KKSS, Muchlis, for being wise and successfully resolving the misunderstanding well. Denny also appreciated the efforts of all parties who helped to ease the situation that had become tense in the community.
Denny also lamented how the SARA issue developed beyond control and triggered problems. He emphasized that all parties should be able to unite and not bring up sensitive issues that could worsen the situation.
Denny also expressed his gratitude to Ahmad Ridha, the person who previously reported him. He appreciated Ridha's step of directly contacting and clarifying the situation, so that this issue could be resolved well.
Denny also emphasized that his issue with KKSS is over. All problems have been resolved well among them all.
Ahmad Ridha explained that after contacting Denny and hearing his apology, he decided to withdraw his report. "I contacted him, he apologized, so I withdrew the report," Ridha said briefly.
In addition, Denny also stated that he is ready to face the lawsuit that is reportedly going to be filed by Farhat Abbas against him. Denny emphasized that he has a personal issue with Farhat Abbas, not with a particular ethnic group.
Denny also admitted that he is ready to accept all consequences from Farhat's report. If it later escalates into legal issues, he will go through all the processes according to the applicable regulations.
Nevertheless, Denny remains open to the possibility if Farhat is willing to resolve everything amicably. He has no problem if he has to make peace with Farhat.
From the beginning, Denny did not intend to have hostility with anyone, including Farhat. Therefore, he came to Farhat's house with good and peaceful intentions, but was not met by the lawyer.
