The atmosphere in the courtroom at the South Jakarta District Court suddenly heated up on Thursday (24/7/2025). This moment occurred during the continuation of the trial regarding the alleged extortion and Money Laundering Crime (TPPU) case involving controversial artist, Nikita Mirzani.

For your information, this case originated from a report by Doctor Reza Gladys to the Metro Jaya Police. The Public Prosecutor charged Nikita Mirzani and her assistant, Ismail Marzuki, with extortion by threatening to continue creating negative content if they were not given Rp5 billion.

Tension began when Doctor Reza Gladys, presented as a victim witness, gave his testimony. The emotions of the cosmetic doctor flared up when he received a question from Nikita Mirzani's legal counsel, Fahmi Bachmid, that touched on the term 'grey'.

Fahmi Bachmid directly asked Reza about the meaning of the term mentioned in the testimony. "You, what does grey mean?" asked Fahmi to Reza.

"Well, ask the defendant," replied Doctor Reza, who seemed unable to contain his annoyance. With a curt tone and a sharp glance at Fahmi, he gave a brief answer that immediately heated up the atmosphere in the courtroom.

Seeing the brief debate that was starting to stray from the substance, the presiding judge quickly intervened. The judge mediated between the two and asked Doctor Reza to remain calm and focus on the questions being asked.

"The issue regarding 'gray' should just be answered. If you don't know, then say you don't know. No need to get emotional," the judge sternly reprimanded Reza.

The term 'gray' itself refers to a statement made by Nikita Mirzani during a live broadcast on the TikTok account 'Niki Huruhara'. In that broadcast, Nikita allegedly insulted Dr. Reza's appearance. This is what became the root of the problem and made Reza feel that his credibility as a beauty doctor was destroyed.

"Then she said, 'I met the person directly, their body is gray, using body lotion that fades.' And at that moment, I felt my credibility as a beauty doctor was shattered," Reza said while explaining the losses he suffered in front of the judge. /aal
