"Yes, when it comes to acting, I feel like I’m only half-hearted in this work," said Indra when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (1/5/2025).
The 43-year-old man now enjoys his busy schedule in the business world, which allows him more freedom. According to him, business makes his life much more flexible compared to the tight shooting schedule of soap operas.
"We are only in the business world because that is what we can control. Moreover, our time is more flexible with family. If acting, we have to shoot from morning until morning every day, it seems like too much time is wasted," he stated.
Indra also mentioned that he has long stopped acting in soap operas. After taking a break for 10 years, he returned to acting about five to six years ago before finally taking a real break.
"Almost every day, for years the situation has been like that, and it’s no longer a passion. So, it’s better to be in the business world. Although it might be much more stressful, there is something we didn’t get before and now we do," he explained.
For the star of Jinny oh Jinny, popularity is no longer something he chases. He feels much calmer being able to live his life without being too well-known by many people.
"And popularity is not the main goal. So if now someone recognizes me, I’m grateful, if not (recognizing him) alhamdulillah," he said.
Indra's main focus right now is to earn as much income as possible to enjoy life with his loved ones. He wants his life to be more balanced between work and family happiness.
"Just earn as much money as possible. That’s the most important thing so we can have fun with family," he concluded.
