When met on Jalan Percetakan Negara, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (12/7/2025), this famous designer shared how he keeps himself away from old temptations.
According to Ivan, his routine now revolves solely around work, and going home helps him avoid negative things. He feels he no longer has access to do bad things.
"Alhamdulillah, there are no temptations, because it's work-home, work-home, so I also don't have much time to go out anywhere. So there's no access to weird things either," he stated.
He also shared a unique story regarding the new rules when eating out with his friends. "The funny thing is, when I eat at a restaurant, and one of my friends orders alcohol, he has to pay for it himself, I don’t want to pay for it," Igun asserted.
Ivan is also very careful with the food he consumes. Any food that contains alcohol, no matter how small, is now on his list of things to avoid. "I also don’t eat chocolate that contains alcohol, I don’t want to," he said.
In fact, there is a favorite cake of his at a famous restaurant in Jakarta that he had to give up. He made this decision because he knows that the cake contains ingredients he is now avoiding.
"I used to like a cake at one of the restaurants in Jakarta, but I can’t eat it anymore, the one in Jakarta too," concluded Ivan Gunawan.
