The name Yuyun Sukawati is back in the public spotlight after spending a long time behind the scenes. Although she had been inactive for decades since the soap opera era of the 1990s and early 2000s, she made a comeback with a cameo in the remake of Si Manis Jembatan Ancol in 2019, while also becoming more active in sharing hijab moments on her official Instagram account.

Her increasingly graceful appearance and busy schedule attending various invitations show that at nearly half a century old, she still possesses charm and energy that rivals young actresses.

Yuyun began her career journey in 1992 as a finalist in the Mode modeling contest. Her name rose to prominence when she starred in the soap opera Jin and Jun (1996-2002) as the character Santi, Jun's cousin.

Since then, she has frequently appeared in various popular soap operas, mostly in supporting roles, including Jinny oh Jinny (1997), Dewi Fortuna (1999-2000), and Tuyul & Mbak Yul (2000).

Although she has not always been a lead actress, her presence often leaves an impression due to her acting skills and chemistry with the main cast. After the soap opera era, Yuyun chose to take a long break from the entertainment world for nearly two decades.

It was only in 2019 that she married director Fajar Umbara, but that marriage later ended with a divorce lawsuit accompanied by allegations of domestic violence that Yuyun revealed to the public and authorities.

From her first marriage, Yuyun was blessed with a son, Harry Alam Wibowo, who is now an adult and was involved in a case of alleged distribution of an obscene video; Yuyun herself continues to fight for justice for her son.
