7 Portraits of Mita The Virgin Admitting Her Life is Empty Without Her Mother, She No Longer Has Anyone Else

The departure of her mother, Emmy Sofyana, has left a deep sorrow for Mita The Virgin. Not only has she lost a parental figure, but Mita feels that her life is now truly empty, considering her mother was the only person she could rely on, share with, and return to.

When met at TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta, on Saturday (28/6/2025), Mita could not hold back her tears when asked how her life has been after losing her mother. She revealed that there is no longer a place to share news or grievances.

"Well, that's it, I really... don’t have anyone else, besides my younger sibling, who is now married and has children, so I just... can’t imagine it," said Mita with tears in her eyes.

Mita also reminisces about her past growing up without a biological father, although she was cared for by a stepfather. However, her mother’s presence has been the center of her life all this time.

"I've never had a father, but there is a stepfather who takes care of my mom. I feel lost, usually I would inform someone, but now I don’t know who to inform, it really feels heavy," Mita expressed.

She admitted that over the past few days many people have come to pay their respects, but she is afraid of the moment when she has to be truly alone at home without her mother. "For these past few days, there have still been many people, but when I go home, I can't imagine it," Mita said with a trembling voice.

For Mita, her mother was not just a parent, but also a true friend. Even during her lifetime, her mother always supported Mita's career in the entertainment world, including with The Virgin.

"Yes, I know my mother's wish for The Virgin to succeed again, wanting her child to quickly have a husband, Dara too, that's her prayer," said Mita.

The departure of her mother on Friday, coinciding with 1 Muharram, comforted Mita a little because she believes that day is a good day.

"God willing, it’s already very good, because the choice is that people die on Friday, the day is already very good. Please pray if my mother during her lifetime has made mistakes, please forgive her and open the door of forgiveness," Mita concluded with hope.
