The funeral procession carrying the body of Donny Kesuma arrived at Tanah Kusir Cemetery, South Jakarta at 11.20 AM. Donny Kesuma's sons were seen getting out of the ambulance and immediately lifting the coffin towards their father's final resting place.
Donny Kesuma's three children were seen descending into the grave to bury their father. The second child of Donny Kesuma, Ghassan Indira Kesuma, recited the call to prayer and recitation.
Tears and cries broke out from Donny Kesuma's former wife, Yuni Indriyati, and their children as Donny Kesuma's body merged with the earth. Prayers were recited by dozens of mourners who attended the funeral process.
One of Donny Kesuma's cousins took the opportunity to express gratitude to the mourners who took the time to attend.
"I represent the Kesuma family, on behalf of the family left behind, I would like to thank you for taking the time to accompany Donny Kesuma to his final resting place," said Donny Kesuma's cousin.
"Donny Kesuma's departure is very sad for us because it was sudden. God has given the best and we accept it," continued Donny Kesuma's cousin.
In the eyes of the family, the late Donny Kesuma was a strong and humorous man who was full of love for his family. Upon hearing those words, Ghassan Indira Kesuma burst into tears.
Yuni Indriyati immediately approached her child and comforted the sorrow felt by her beloved child. Ghassan Indira Kesuma finally also gave a speech to the mourners present to open the door of forgiveness if there were any mistakes made by his father, whether intentional or not during his lifetime.
"Please open the door of forgiveness for my father if there were any mistakes, may my father rest in peace there," said Ghassan Indira Kesuma.
When the flower scattering procession took place, Yuni Indriyati was seen doing it while holding back her sadness. After that, the children, relatives, and friends also scattered flowers on Donny Kesuma's grave.
As a reminder, Donny Kesuma passed away at 19:19 WIB on Tuesday (19/3/2024), due to a heart disease he suffered from. Previously, the deceased was taken to the hospital on March 16, 2023.
