Postponed Hearing, Vicky Prasetyo Leaks the Contents of the Defense Note

Kapanlagi.com - The continuation of the trial regarding defamation against Angel Lelga, which implicates Vicky Prasetyo, has been postponed. Held at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (29/7/2021), this session is scheduled for a plea or reading the defense note.

"Today's agenda should have been the reading of the defense plea from our side. However, due to the unpreparedness of our team," said Vicky's legal counsel, Arif Hidayat, at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (29/7/2021).

"As we know, the pandemic is developing and six people in our office, including Bang Ramdhan, are affected. That's why we decided to postpone the plea session for one week. The plea is scheduled for August 5, 2021," added Arif.

It is not too difficult for Vicky Prasetyo's legal team to write the defense note. This is because they truly write the facts experienced by Vicky Prasetyo regarding the case.

1. Give Hints of Defense Notes

"So this is not a complicated matter because it is all facts. So our client just tells the story. We compare it with applicable laws and the facts presented in the form of a defense, so it's normal," said Arif.

In the same occasion, Vicky gave a sneak peek of the contents of the defense notes. Kalina Oktarani's husband admitted that he was only trying to reveal the true events regarding the case.

"Just tell the facts that happened. and some points because this is a household problem. That's why I and my legal counsel often communicate. Later they are more skilled at making a defense from paragraph to paragraph, I just have to read it. I have written some. Yesterday there was also a voice note," said Vicky Prasetryo.

2. The Beginning of the Case

This problem started when Vicky Prasetyo ran as a legislative candidate in the 2019 election. At that time, Vicky conducted socialization through social media. From that post, Angel Lelga's sister was suspected of making comments that were considered inappropriate.

"Seeing this, there are several people who gave comments that we feel are not good and not appropriate at all for adults who understand the law. So one of them is Angel Lelga's sister, Vicky's ex-wife, and there is one more person that we have reported," he said.

"So because my client feels disturbed and harmed, as a good citizen, he takes legal steps by making a police report," Sri Dharen concluded.
