Kapanlagi.com - Thariq Halilintar and Aaliyah Massaid officially married at the Raffles Hotel Ballroom, South Jakarta, on Friday (26/7/2024). The sacred event became even more special with the presence of President Joko Widodo and MPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo as wedding witnesses.
"Alhamdulillah, it is a blessing for both of us, even for the whole family, to have Mr. Joko Widodo present, and also Bambang Soesatyo. Also with the ladies, with Mrs. Iriana, and Mrs. Dewi also came," Thariq said at the Raffles Hotel, South Jakarta, on Friday (26/7/2024).
"It is something that makes us feel very honored. And yes, everyone is happy, the whole family is happy," Thariq added.

Thariq Halilintar smoothly and quickly read the marriage vow in front of the esteemed witnesses. The process was done in one breath, showing his readiness and determination.
"Alhamdulillah, it went smoothly. I only memorized it in one night," he said.

However, Thariq could not hide his nervousness during the marriage ceremony. According to his confession, the presence of President Joko Widodo as a witness added a certain pressure.
"So when I spoke, I just went for it, that’s why it was so fast," he said.
"Yes, I was also surprised, Brother Thariq read the marriage vow very quickly. He was even nudged by Mr. Bambang Soesatyo," Aaliyah added.

In addition, Thariq admitted to feeling nervous when mentioning Aaliyah's long full name.
"Honestly, it was really nerve-wracking because your name is quite long. Her name is Aaliyah Annisa Jeffar Massaid binti Raden Pandji Chandra Pratomo Samiadji Massaid," Thariq explained.

Not only Thariq, but Aaliyah also felt the same. As the daughter of Reza Artamevia and the late Adjie Massaid, this wedding moment means a lot to her.
"We haven't met since yesterday, so when we were nervous we only called each other last night like, 'are you nervous, are you ready?' Just that. Thank God everything went smoothly," Aaliyah said.
