President Jokowi Has Not Been Able to Visit His First Grandchild Kaesang Pangarep and Erina Gudono

Kaesang revealed that his father, President Joko Widodo, has not been able to meet his newborn grandchild in person. According to him, his father is currently on duty in Aceh.

"Not yet, actually this morning he had a duty to Aceh. Yes, maybe he will visit tonight. The ones who visited earlier were Mas Gibran and Mbak Selvi," said Kaesang at RSU Bunda Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (15/10/2024).

Although he has not been able to see his grandchild directly, Jokowi has already contacted Kaesang by phone. Meanwhile, Iriana Jokowi is at the hospital to accompany Erina during childbirth.

"Downstairs are my mother and my mother-in-law. If Father is indeed working, it was just a phone call earlier," said Kaesang.

Kaesang revealed that President Jokowi called him to inquire about the condition of the baby, Bebingah Sang Tansahayu. Jokowi took the time to reach out amidst the busy preparations for the inauguration of Indonesia's new president on October 20.

"Father asked about the baby's condition and how the mother is doing. I said everyone is healthy. The process after giving birth only took 1 to 1.5 hours before she could return to the room," he concluded.
