Previously Recovered After Intensive Treatment, Polo's Lung Disease Suspected to Relapse Due to Smoking Again

Kapanlagi.com - Christian Barata Nugroho, or commonly known as Polo Srimulat, is currently undergoing intensive treatment at Awal Bros Hospital, Bekasi. According to his younger brother, Putut Wahyu Trenggono, Polo is being treated for lung disease.

Putut also revealed that in 2015, his brother had undergone intensive treatment as well. However, it is suspected that his disease relapsed because he started smoking again.

"Yes, doctors and medications, but it can't be stopped. If it's stopped, we have to start over from the beginning. He also consumes fresh milk to boost his immune system. Thank God, it has been going well until 2019, but in 2020 it relapsed because of smoking," said Putut when met at Awal Bros Hospital, Bekasi, on Monday (20/7/2020).

1. Never Drop

According to Putut's testimony, since recovering from treatment in 2015, Polo's condition has remained good. Even when it relapsed in 2019, Polo did not receive intensive treatment.

"Actually, in 2015, it was declared cured and until 2018, he never dropped, even when he started feeling sick in 2019, he was never treated. He is only being treated now," said Putut.

2. Still Using Respiratory Aid

Putut said that Polo has been intensively treated in the ICU for the past two days. Even until now, Polo's condition has not changed much. The respiratory aid is still attached to his mouth to help him breathe.

"So far, there have been no changes, still assisted with the respiratory aid through the mouth, and some of the aids cannot be removed because they help his lungs," he added.
