Promises That Were Not Fulfilled, Denny Cagur Reveals Last Video Call with Mpok Alpa

Behind their sadness lies a promise that was not fulfilled. Denny Cagur revealed that he had just had a video call with Mpok Alpa three days before the comedian took his last breath.

In that conversation, the 48-year-old comedian promised to visit Mpok Alpa at the hospital on Friday, right after he finished his work obligations.

"Three days ago we had a video call with Mpok Alpa, 'Mpok, on Friday I will come straight to the hospital after I finish my report duties,'" said Denny Cagur.

1. A Promise to Visit

Fate had other plans. The promise to visit a sick friend turned into a mourning visit to bid farewell to her final resting place. Her wife, Shanty, confirmed that today was their schedule to visit Mpok Alpa.

"Today we were supposed to go to the hospital," Shanty added in a soft tone.

2. More Than Just a Colleague

For Denny, Mpok Alpa was more than just a colleague. He admitted to following Mpok Alpa's career journey from the beginning of her viral fame until becoming a close friend who often visited their home. This loss feels very personal to him.

"I followed her journey a lot from the beginning when Mpok Alpa went viral. She often came to our house, and we often came here," he reminisced.

3. Prayers for Mpok Alpa

Denny also prayed that the deceased would find the best place by God's side, especially since Mpok Alpa passed away on a Friday, which is believed to be a good day.

"One of our best friends, hopefully her family is given strength. Mpok Alpa finds the best place by Allah, as she passed on a good day," he concluded.
