Pulled Over by the Police for Riding a Motorcycle Without a Helmet, Ria Ricis: I'm an Artist, a YouTuber, You Know!

1. Ditilang Polisi

Apparently Ria Ricis had to deal with the police because she was riding a motorcycle without wearing a helmet. Through a video she uploaded on her Youtube channel, Ricis seemed to want to go for an evening ride on her motorcycle.

However, suddenly a police officer stopped her. "Good evening, sir," said Ria Ricis to the police officer.

"Why aren't you wearing a helmet?" the police officer asked Ricis.

"Please don't give me a ticket, sir," said Ricis.

2. Nggak Mau Ditilang

When asked for her vehicle documents and driver's license, Ricis also tried to avoid it. She pleaded with the police officer not to give her a ticket because she was still filming.

"On the road, it is mandatory to wear a helmet for safety. Please get off the motorcycle," said the police officer to Ricis.

"Sir, don't you know who I am? I am an artist, a YouTuber!" said Ricis.

"Oh, you're the one who was popular recently, right?" said the police officer teasingly to Ricis.

3. Given Punishment

After giving advice and reminders to Ria Ricis, the police officer also gave her punishment. She was asked to help the mothers who were preparing food in the kitchen made by the police and military personnel for the people affected by Corona.

Ricis was seen helping the mothers wrap the food. She also helped the police officers distribute the packed rice to the surrounding residents.

4. Just a Setup?

The video uploaded by Ria Ricis on her YouTube channel on Thursday (11/6/2020) seems to be just a prearranged video. In the video, Ricis was not actually fined.

Many netizens believe that this video was made as a form of support for the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) who are still on duty during this pandemic. Some netizens also consider this video as a form of satire towards traffic violators.
