Don't Want to be a Field of Sin, Novi Umar the Creator of the Song 'Aku Bukan Boneka' Locked Her Instagram Account

Kapanlagi.com - Rahmawati Kekeyi Putri Cantika has just released her debut single titled Keke Bukan Boneka. The upbeat song tells the story of her personal experience in a romantic relationship with Rio Ramadhan.

However, after the song was released on YouTube, Kekeyi was accused of plagiarism because there are parts of the melody that are similar to the song Aku Bukan Boneka created by Novi Umar and previously performed by Rinni Wulandari.

1. Becoming the Target of Bullying

Because of this issue, Rinni Wulandari and Novi Umar became the target of bullying by netizens. They were accused of climbing the social ladder to gain popularity in Kekeyi's fame.

Fed up with this situation, Novi even locked her Instagram account. She didn't want her account to become a source of sin for those who commented only to insult without knowing the truth.

2. Netizens Worsen the Atmosphere

"The ones who worsen the atmosphere are the netizens. That's why I intentionally made my Instagram account private because I don't want to commit sins because of social media. I feel sorry for many people who are affected by this issue and it leads to sin," said Novi when contacted by KapanLagi.com, Friday (5/6/2020).

3. Sony Music's Asset

Novi Umar revealed that she has communicated with Kekeyi and doesn't have a problem with the resemblance. However, Novi can't do much about it because the song has become Sony Music's asset. She only advised the label to resolve this issue in a family-oriented manner.

"This is Sony Music's asset, so I leave everything to Sony Music. I can't possibly stop them, I just suggest not to take it down yet because Kekeyi also put in effort, energy, time here," she explained.

4. Still Wrong in the Eyes of Netizens

Despite giving such advice to Sony Music, Novi Umar is still considered wrong in the eyes of netizens.

"Even though I have done that, I am still considered wrong by netizens. Netizens don't know the real situation. I just enjoy this as a life lesson," said the man who is also the creator of the song Jadikan Aku Yang Kedua.
