Putra Hilbram Dunar Speaks Out About His Father's Illness Before Passing Away

Kapanlagi.com - The son of presenter Hilbram Dunar, Ranu Ragusti Dunar, revealed the medical history of his father before he passed away. Ranu mentioned that his father was diagnosed with cancer since October 17, 2023.

"Papa was diagnosed with cancer on October 17, but the family already knew about it maybe 5 days earlier. The doctor informed us maybe so that we could be prepared when Papa told us," said Ranu at TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta, on Sunday (31/3).

Ranu revealed that he first found out about his father's illness when Hilbram was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. However, Ranu saw that his father was still enthusiastic before undergoing chemotherapy.

"When we were told, it was already stage 4. But before the first session of chemo, Papa was still fine. He was still spirited. He didn't feel any pain, he didn't feel down, he was still working," said Ranu.

1. Always Strong in Front of the Children

Until now, Hilbram has been trying to hide his pain from his children. But Ranu often hears stories from her mother about the complaints felt by the late father during the night.

"Mama often tells me and Via (sister) that Papa often screams at night, saying he's in pain. Like, 'Oh God, why, why me? What have I done, Oh God'. Papa was really in a lot of pain. But in front of the children, he was always strong," said Ranu.

2. Previously Transferred to the Hospital

Ranu also mentioned that her late father was previously treated at RSPI Bintaro. However, last Wednesday, Hilbram was transferred to the ICU before being transferred to EMC Alam Sutra and passed away early Sunday morning at 00.39 WIB.

"Last Saturday, Papa was treated at RSPI Bintaro, and then maybe on Wednesday morning, he was transferred to the ICU at RSPI and after Maghrib, he was transferred to EMC Alam Sutra. He passed away this morning at 00.39 WIB," concluded Ranu.
