Amidst the slanderous accusations claiming Raffi Ahmad was involved in an electronic goods smuggling case, his mother, Amy Qanita, continues to provide strong moral support. Mama Amy always reminds Raffi to remain patient in the face of slander.
Raffi revealed that his mother keeps monitoring the news developments and prays for him every day. His mother's message serves as a guide for Raffi to not get carried away by emotions when facing those spreading false news.
Although feeling wronged, Raffi chooses not to hold a grudge. This aligns with his mother's advice, which encourages Raffi to be forgiving in any difficult situation.
"My mother always said, 'whoever hurts you before they apologize, forgive them first, let God's hand work later.' That's how my mother is," said Raffi Ahmad when met in the Wijaya area, South Jakarta, Thursday (11/6/2026).
This case began with Raffi's accidental meeting with representatives from the Blueray company in New York. Raffi admitted that he just wanted to be friendly to the Indonesians he met abroad.
He recounted how those people called him to take a photo in front of their store. Raffi ensured there was no intention to collaborate in the illegal goods shipping business.
"'Mr. Raffi, Mr. Ariel, Mr. Gading, please take a photo with me'. Oh... okay, we took the photo in front of the store, not going inside," explained Raffi Ahmad.
Raffi emphasized that the discussion about the latest gadget offers was just small talk. He never followed up on the offer by providing a shipping address or any other personal data.
"'Mr. Raffi, our company Blueray can send anything. Whether it's a mobile phone, a laptop, an iPad, or this or that.' It was just that. Essentially, I was just making small talk," explained Raffi Ahmad.
