Ray Sahetapy Can Play in 'CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR', Initially Became a Conversation Topic

Kapanlagi.com - There are several Indonesian actors who have played in Hollywood production films. One of them is senior star Ray Sahetapy. For those who don't know, he had a cameo in the Marvel production film, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.

Unfortunately, the scene where Ray Sahetapy appeared was cut by Marvel and only recently the scene where he became a negotiator at an auction was shown. Ray shared his experience playing in Hollywood when he became a guest star on the show Rumpi hosted by Feny Rose.

1. Thanks to The Raid

Ray then tells the story of how he was able to play in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, even though the scene he did was eventually not shown. It cannot be denied, his role in the action film THE RAID is what caught the attention of Marvel. 

"The director's wife of THE RAID (Gareth Evans) called me and said, 'You are being talked about in Hollywood'. At a director's house in Hollywood, where they were amazed to see me play like that, 'How can a foreigner play like that?'. That's how it is," Ray Sahetapy said.

2. Told to Act in Marvel

The praise turned out to be ordinary for Ray Sahetapy. Because he had studied theater, it was mandatory for him to act as best as possible. 

"He told me, you are being talked about and there is a possibility that you will play in one of the Marvel films," said Ray Sahetapy, who claimed to be indifferent when hearing that.

Already talented, humble too. Ray Sahetapy is indeed worthy of being a role model!
