Lawyer Razman Arif Nasution was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison by the panel of judges at the North Jakarta District Court (PN). Razman was found guilty of defaming the famous lawyer, Hotman Paris Hutapea.

"We adjudicate, impose a sentence on the Defendant, therefore, with a prison sentence of 1 year and 6 months," said the Chief Judge, Syofia Marlianti Tambunan, during the hearing held at PN Jakut on Tuesday (30/9/2025).

The judge found Razman guilty of the defamation case against Hotman.

"It is stated that the defendant Rahman Arif Nasution has been proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing a crime together with intent and without the right to transmit, and/or make accessible electronic information, and/or electronic documents that contain insults, and/or defamation continuously, and jointly committing slander," said the judge.

The conflict between Razman and Hotman Nasution began when Iqlima Kim, a former personal assistant to Hotman Paris, claimed that she experienced sexual harassment while working for him. Razman Nasution was then appointed as Iqlima's legal counsel to advocate for her case.

Hotman Paris felt that his reputation was tarnished due to the public statements made by Razman regarding the harassment allegations. As a result, Hotman reported Razman to the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) for defamation on May 10, 2022.
