Reasons Why Rochimah Divorces Kiwil, Traumatized by Polygamy 17 Years Ago

Kapanlagi.com - The first wife of Kiwil, Rochimah officially filed for divorce from her husband. The divorce lawsuit documents were submitted to the Religious Court on December 15, 2020. However, until now, Rochimah herself admitted that there is still a possibility of reconciliation.

When recently met, she said that the opportunity for reconciliation is still open as long as Kiwil is willing to resolve the issue, which is to not practice polygamy. 

In addition, Rochimah also stated that she is still open to reconciliation because of their children. Their child does not want to see their parents separate. 

"There are many factors, especially the children who disagree with whatever I do. I will think about it and ask for guidance from Allah on what is right. The main point is that I no longer want to be in a polygamous marriage," said Rochimah when recently met.

1. Taruma 17 Years

The fundamental reason Rochimah insisted on divorcing Kiwil is because she no longer wants to be in a polygamous marriage. She even admitted that she was traumatized when Kiwil decided to marry Meggy Wulandari 17 years ago. 

"There is trauma. I have said before that I don't want to be in a polygamous marriage because I am traumatized by what happened 17 years ago. That's why I don't want to be in a polygamous marriage again. I don't want it in any form," she said.

2. Request from the Children

In addition, this request to not engage in polygamy also comes from Kiwil's children. Rochimah said that since news of their divorce with Kiwil became public, their children have become more attentive and do not want their parents to separate, especially they do not want Kiwil to engage in polygamy.

"They are more caring, attentive, and concerned about their parents. Not just towards me, but also towards their father. They ask their father not to engage in polygamy anymore, they are sad," she added.
