Red Magician Requests Proof, Denies Targeting Wealth and Hospital Compensation

"His family said I asked for 25 million in compensation. You've heard that before, right? Yes, I asked for 25 million in compensation, I swear to God that has never come out of my mouth at all. If there is indeed evidence that I asked for compensation, then show it," challenged Marcel Radhival when met in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, on Monday (23/2/2026).

In addition to the slander about money, Marcel also highlighted the actions of the late wife's family, which he deemed to have violated privacy. He questioned how the late woman's personal phone could be accessed and its contents opened by the family without permission, even though legally the item still belongs to the husband who has not divorced.

"How could my late wife's phone be held by the family? How is that possible? Because that is the property of the wife and they are not divorced yet. Under Indonesian law, it still belongs to the husband. How could they casually read the WhatsApp messages from the deceased like that?" he said angrily.

The action, according to Marcel, could actually be reported as a criminal act of embezzlement. In fact, his own legal team and family have urged Marcel to take legal steps to clear his name from all accusations.

"Just report it, Sel, that's embezzlement. They have already made many unfounded accusations, and embezzlement is the same," Marcel quoted his lawyer's advice.

However, amidst the pressure, Marcel is still trying to hold back. He admits he still hopes for goodwill from his late wife's family to sit down together and resolve the issue amicably, without having to go to court.

"But I was thinking, what's the point of extending this? I am still trying to have good faith from their side. So that this doesn't go to legal proceedings because it's a bit heavy for me to hold back from this side," he concluded.
