Now it's Regi's turn to give a statement to the media. He explained that Afifah was the first to launch an attack before the fight started.
"She punched me in the left eye first, and then she used this (shoe) to hit my head," Regi said during a clarification meeting with the investigators of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Monday (30/10/2023)
Regi Nazlah revealed that he and Afifah Riyad attacked each other. So it is not appropriate to say that he was the one who abused.
"Yes, we attacked each other because I also suffered physically. And on that night, there was already a medical examination. But this happened three months ago, I have recovered, and she has also recovered," explained Regi.
In her confession, Afifah Riyad revealed that she had reported Regi Nazlah to the Jakarta Metro Police on July 21, 2023. However, it turns out that Regi had reported Afifah first to the East Jakarta Police with the same charges.
"Oh, we reported first. Afifah's report here is dated July 21, 2023, our report was on July 20, 2023. So we reported first. It's the same offense, but if I say this is not abuse, it's a fight," said Markus Nababan, Regi's legal representative.
