Releasing 3 Latest Singles, Iqbaal Ramadhan Presents a 90s Concept Through 'BAALE' Project - Impressing Fans

Indonesian singer and actor, Iqbaal Ramadhan, has just made a breakthrough in the music industry by releasing his latest solo project titled BAALE on (19/04). It consists of three hit songs, namely CINTA LUKA SEMPURNA, FORTUNA, and DI BAWAH LAMPU. This time, Iqbaal presents a different appearance from other musicians. He brings a theme that is heavily influenced by the 90s era.

Iqbaal has also released music videos for all three songs, which are combined into one video on Friday, April 26, 2024. In his eagerness to embrace the vintage theme, Iqbaal invited one of the best music video directors from the 1990s and 2000s in Indonesia, namely The Jadugar, to direct the 11 minutes and 15 seconds long MV.

For further information, it is known that the former member of the group Coboy Junior will also use a new stage name, Baale. He has created an Instagram account @baale which contains information about his activities and releases as a solo artist.

Iqbaal Ramadhan is considered unique in presenting music videos for the singles 'CINTA LUKA SEMPURNA', 'FORTUNA', and 'DI BAWAH LAMPU'. Usually, musicians will release MVs with different concepts for each song. However, Iqbaal immediately made the three songs into a unity that evokes the musical sensation of the listeners.

Starting with Ringgo Agus as the narrator at the beginning of the video, he appears as a music store merchant. Ringgo introduces the presence of a dangerous musician named Baale who will accompany the listeners' days through his flagship song. After that, the first clip that appears is the song 'CINTA LUKA SEMPURNA'. Iqbaal sings with his melodious guitar accompaniment and other band members.

Entering the second music video for the song 'FORTUNA', Iqbaal appears as a singer performing in a music cafe. In this song, there is the voice of Dinda Kamil, the manager, who adds harmony to Iqbaal's voice.

Now, 'DI BAWAH LAMPU' is the third clip that attracts the most attention from fans. The vintage concept in this MV is very strong. Iqbaal is seen wearing a white suit while riding a horse on the beach. The quality of the video and the tone of the song offered in this MV brings people born in the 90s to nostalgia for their beautiful childhood.

However, other social media users also expressed their views on Iqbaal's latest song, especially DI BAWAH LAMPU. Iqbaal is considered to give the impression of not caring about his target market's taste.

3. 'BAALE' Tour
