Inara did it to meet her and her children's needs of living. She wants her children to continue to get the best until they grow up.
"Now I want to try to be independent. I want to work again for my children, provide for them so they can continue their lives, continue their education, without having to depend on anyone. Including their own father," said Inara when met in the Senopati area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (18/5/2023).

Before deciding to remove her veil, Inara Rusli met with Ustaz Derry Sulaiman and his wife, Antika Jodha. She cried for hours asking for their opinion. Apparently, they were the ones who helped Inara during the initial process of wearing the veil.
"At that time she came to our house at night. She cried and hugged me, 'Sis, what should I do, I have to work.' Then I said, 'It's okay if you want to remove it, if you have to work to provide for your family,'" said Antika in a different interview session.
"At that time she put on the veil for us, that's why when she wanted to remove it she came to us. She cried while hugging my wife and apologized," added Ustaz Derry.

Explained by Ustaz Derry Sulaiman, wearing a veil for a woman is not an obligation but a sunnah. Therefore, what Inara Rusli did is not something that should be criticized.
"Wearing a veil is a sunnah. Because wearing a veil requires strong faith, many things must be sacrificed. When Ina made the decision to take it off, if she decides to uncover her veil, don't let it become a temptation. Ina did this for Allah. Don't let bullying make you sin," said Ustaz Derry Sulaiman firmly.
