Reported to Have Cancer, Cousin Says Puput Novel No Longer Recognizes Her During Video Call

Kapanlagi.com - The artist and politician, Puput Novel, is reported to have passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 6:24 PM WIB at RS MMC, Kuningan, South Jakarta. The departure of the young singer certainly raises questions among the public about the illness she suffered.

From the circulating news, Puput was fighting against cancer. However, Alblen Fabe, who is her cousin, did not want to comment much on the illness that the deceased suffered from.

"Actually, God gives that advantage not only wealth or intelligence but illness is also an advantage," he said when contacted by the media on Sunday (9/8/2024).

"So here I do not want to classify or publish what the illness is, what is certain is that Puput was given an advantage by God and God loves her. What is certain is that she was sick, yes she was indeed sick," he continued.

1. Deteriorating Condition

Alblen stated that when communicating with the late Puput, her condition seemed to have deteriorated a bit. In fact, Puput no longer recognized him.

"I was in Australia, the last time we met was maybe this year when I came back from Umrah two days ago, I still video called her and her condition was, you could say, not healthy anymore, even maybe she didn’t realize it was me who was video calling," he explained.

Alblen suspects that this condition occurred due to the late Puput's busy work schedule. However, Alblen does not want to speculate further.

"And her condition has been gradually dropping, maybe because she was tired due to her many activities or something, I’m not sure, but what’s certain is that she was very close to me," he revealed.

2. Already Communicated With Family

Alblen himself admitted that he has communicated with the family regarding the funeral, which is planned to be held on Monday (9/9/2024). However, he does not know the exact location, as it is still being discussed by the family.

"It’s likely that the burial will be in Jakarta, actually our extended family is in Sukabumi but the burial will probably be in Jakarta," he confessed.

"As for the funeral information, there is none at the moment; maybe it will be announced tomorrow," he concluded.
