There is something different in the way Denada calls her son, Ressa Rizky Rossano, after their first meeting. The 47-year-old singer now has a special nickname for Ressa, which is 'Nang', a familiar greeting in Javanese culture for boys.
This change in nickname was revealed by Denada's management representative, Risna Ories. According to her, the terms 'Mother' and 'Nang' have already started to be used in their chat conversations before the face-to-face meeting occurred.
This call seems to become a new symbol in their relationship, indicating a closeness and warmth that is beginning to develop. "Denada has also said 'yes, Mom is ready, what do you want, Nang?'. Ah, she has called Nang," said Risna Ories when met in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang, on Friday (20/03/2026).
Risna admitted that she was very touched when she directly heard the sweet interaction between the mother and child. One of the moments she remembers most is when Denada gently offered a drink to Ressa.
"'Oh, do you want cold mineral water or just regular, Nang?'. 'Just whatever, Mom, like cold water from the fridge'. Something like that. When I heard and saw it, Masya Allah, it was touching," she said.
Previously, Ressa was known to call Denada with the address 'Mbak'. However, now, Denada consciously positions herself as 'Ibu', and Ressa responds with the same address.
"Actually, the call 'Ibu' in the chat started when Denada began to refer to herself as Ibu. She also calls Reza Nang like that," explained Risna.
This small yet meaningful change shows that the process of acceptance and reconciliation between the two is going very well. This affectionate address marks the beginning of a new chapter that is warmer and filled with love between Denada and Ressa.
Simple moments like this serve as proof that the emotional bond between them has never truly been severed, even though they have been separated by time and circumstances.
