The planned meeting between Ressa Rosano and her biological mother, Denada, is still a public highlight. After a long time of exchanging statements, news has emerged that the two will meet on March 19. However, Ressa's attorney, Andika M, SH, has expressed his confusion regarding the meeting invitation, which has been deemed inconsistent from the other party.

Andika mentioned that his client has actually been waiting for certainty to meet in person for a long time. However, the plans have often been canceled or not realized, leading Ressa's side to feel toyed with. He also questioned the seriousness of Denada's party, which has seemed very eager to meet but whose schedule always changes.

Ressa's party emphasized that they have never obstructed the good intention to maintain family ties, especially between mother and child. However, they want the meeting to be truly sincere and not just for the sake of content or public opinion.

"So actually we are the ones who have been pranked here, wanting to meet since last month, it feels like. And God willing, it will only be realized on the 19th tomorrow. Who has not wanted this from the beginning, and now it’s happening? I’m confused, I’m really confused about this. We are the ones who are confused," said Andika at a virtual press conference on Tuesday (17/3/2026).

As of now, the legal representatives also do not know for sure where the meeting will take place. They are leaving the matter of the place and time entirely to Denada, who is the one initiating this meeting.

"On their side. From their side. So Ressa wants to meet her mother, Ms. Denada, that's perfectly fine, we can't obstruct that, ma'am, we can't. We can't. We can't do that," said Andika.

This meeting is hoped to be a middle ground amidst the ongoing legal process. Ressa Rosano herself is said to want everything to be resolved as soon as possible in the best way for all parties involved.

"Well, that's what I don't quite understand, whether the defendant wants to meet Ressa alone or together with plaintiffs 2 and 3, and where it will be located, I also don't quite understand. Because it's not us who decide," explained Andika M, SH.

Although the meeting schedule is just around the corner, Ressa's legal team remains focused on preparing the trial materials. They do not want the meeting to disrupt the legal process that has already entered the replication stage.

"Ressa didn't inform me, just the info that she plans to meet with Ms. Denada, with her mother, on what date, yes, the 19th, God willing," she concluded.
