Revealed: The Reason Aurelie Moeremans Didn't Hold a Wedding Reception in Indonesia

Aurelie Moeremans held a wedding reception with Tyler Bigenho in the United States (US) some time ago. Getting married in a foreign country, Aurelie did not deny that many parties wanted her to hold a wedding reception in Indonesia. It turns out that this 31-year-old woman has her own reasons for only holding the wedding in California, US.

"Many (are asking for a reception in Indonesia), but I can't leave the US this year because I'm currently in the process of getting a Green Card," said Aurelie Moeremans, as quoted by KapanLagi.com via detikcom, Friday (02/05/2025).

The U.S. Green Card is an official document also known as a Permanent Resident Card. The holder of this document has permission to live and work permanently in the United States.

"The process can take 8 months, 12 months, or more, it's uncertain," explained Aurelie. On that occasion, Aurelie Moeremans also expressed her happiness that the series of events for her wedding has been completed and in accordance with her wedding dream. Aurelie stated that the atmosphere and location met her desires.

"Yes, Mom, Dad, my little brother, and his girlfriend came. (The atmosphere) was just perfect. The venue was really beautiful, the weather was nice, all my close friends and Tyler came, the whole family was there, everything went smoothly," said Aurelie.

Aurelie and Tyler arranged and registered their marriage at the Old Orange County Courthouse in December 2024. They decided to take care of the marriage documents first so that when the big wedding in April 2025 comes, everything would be settled and they could focus on enjoying the moment without worrying about the paperwork.

However, Aurelie & Tyler did not expect that after signing the documents, the officer invited them to the altar for the wedding ceremony. It turned out that this process was already part of the marriage registration process.
