Rey Mbayang Asks to Buy a Ghost Detector, Here's Dinda Hauw's Reaction

The experience of shooting his first horror film seems to have left a deep impression on Rey Mbayang. Not only did he enjoy the acting process in the film RITUAL GAIB: NYAI RANDASURA, but Rey also showed a greater interest in the supernatural world. He admitted to trying to persuade his wife, Dinda Hauw, to buy him a ghost detector.

This unique desire was expressed by Rey when asked how they faced mystical things after being involved in the production of a horror film. Instead of being afraid, Rey became more curious and wanted to scientifically prove the existence of invisible beings.

"Actually, I hope she likes horror even more, because I was trying to persuade her to buy me a ghost detector, but until now I haven't been allowed, she says the item doesn't make sense," said Rey Mbayang when met in Kemang, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/10/2025).

Suddenly, Rey's desire received a teasing response from Dinda Hauw. Dinda, who also enjoys watching horror content, feels that her husband's request is beyond reasonable limits.

She couldn't wrap her head around what the tool would be used for, considering they are not content creators focused on mysteries.

"It's just really weird, you know. Like, do you really enjoy watching, uh, horror podcasts, but not to the point of doing anything, so, what do you call it if it's at night? Want something for the night if you want this... a courage test," Dinda said.

Dinda continued, she does not want her husband to conduct a courage test just out of curiosity. For her, buying a ghost detector is too far of a step and could potentially invite them to meet a ghost directly, something she is clearly not ready to face.

"What a time, should I even buy a ghost detector like that? What for? To meet a ghost? No way," said Dinda Hauw.

Rey Mbayang even admitted that he has found the tool he wants on several e-commerce sites. However, he chose to hold back and not buy it immediately to maintain household harmony and avoid unnecessary arguments with his wife.

"Actually, if I want to buy it, I just need to checkout, but rather than have the item arrive and turn into a war, right," joked Rey Mbayang.
