Matt Rife's Portrait as Annabelle's Guardian After Buying the Inspiring 'THE CONJURING' House

Who would have thought, behind his funny style on stage, comedian Matt Rife is actually a huge fan of the horror world! And now, he officially has the most terrifying "horror collection" imaginable.

Through a TikTok video that aired on Friday (1/8/2025), Matt Rife announced that he and his friend, YouTuber Elton Castee, are now the guardians of the house and museum owned by legendary paranormal couple Ed and Lorraine Warren, complete with their entire collection of haunted items, including the famous Annabelle doll! "This may be the most important part of the history of the paranormal world," Rife said in his video. "Ed and Lorraine Warren are figures who brought the world of demonology, ghost hunting, and paranormal investigation into the mainstream."

The house they bought is located in Monroe, Connecticut, and is known as the Warrens' Occult Museum. This museum had been closed since 2019 due to zoning violations. But the good news is, Matt and Elton plan to reopen it to the public!

"You will be able to come for a day tour, stay overnight, or even for the weekend," Rife expressed enthusiastically.

In his TikTok caption, he also added that the museum will eventually be open for tours, so people can witness the dark history and terrifying stories of each artifact firsthand.

Even so, Matt Rife emphasizes that they are not the official owners of this collection. "We are not the rightful owners, but we are the legal guardians and custodians of these items for the next five years," he explained.

A representative of Matt Rife has also confirmed the validity of this purchase to PEOPLE, Saturday (2/8/2025), although the museum has not yet provided an official comment.

Closing his video, Rife realizes how unique (and perhaps extreme) this hobby of his is. "This might be the most random hobby, but crazy, it's really cool," he joked. "I should just collect stamps, that seems safer."

Well, get ready! Who knows, you might soon be able to take a horror vacation to Annabelle's house with Matt Rife!
