Produced by Dheeraj Kalwani, this film brings a breath of fresh air by raising issues that have never been touched upon in Indonesian cinema, namely corruption in disaster management.

The story centers on Arya (Raihan Khan), a young man haunted by terrifying visions of the Shiratal Mustaqim Bridge, a mystical bridge in belief that connects to heaven and crosses through hell.

Arya and his mother (played by Imelda Therinne) become involved in a deep investigation related to the embezzlement of post-tsunami aid funds that claimed many victims. In the process, they must face threats from corruptors who are ready to eliminate anyone who stands in their way.

In the official teaser released on Thursday (24/7/2025), viewers are presented with intense and gripping visual snippets. It also shows how the corruptors' evil plans are packaged with a tense horror atmosphere, reinforced by the use of lavish and realistic CGI. To achieve maximum visual quality, the CGI process even took a full year.

"We want to present horror that is not only visually frightening but also touches the emotional side of the audience. The Bridge of Shiratal Mustaqim is not just a horror film, but also conveys a moral message about honesty, courage, and human choices when faced with extreme situations," said Dheeraj Kalwani explaining the vision behind this film.

Directed by Bounty Umbara and written by Erwanto Alphadullah, this film features a talented cast including Imelda Therinne, Raihan Khan, Agus Kuncoro, Mike Lucock, Eduwart Manalu, Rory Asyari, and Khalif Al Juna. They will take the audience on a journey into metaphysical horror with grounded social conflicts.

The Shiratal Mustaqim Bridge is not just a thrilling spectacle, but also a reflection of humanity's greatest fears: death and accountability for one's actions. With a plot full of surprises and evocative visuals, this film is set to be one of the boldest and most meaningful horrors of 2025.
