Kapanlagi.com - Keisya Levronka & Ummy Quary star in a new horror film titled TUMBAL: PAMALI. In a segment on KapanLagi Show recently, the two young actresses revealed several facts and stories that sent chills down their spines while shooting the film, which is scheduled to be released on August 7, 2025.
"We shot in Bandung for a month. The scariest setting seems to be the factory," said Keisya Levronka. "For me, it's the factory and the house," replied Ummy Quary when asked about the shooting location.
Then, Keisya detailed the factory that Ummy Quary mentioned. Keisya stated that the factory is an abandoned pharmaceutical manufacturing site. As a result, the air inside the factory feels stuffy.
"Because in the story's background, we are adventuring into a factory. A factory that is abandoned, you know. Well, coincidentally, the set is also really an abandoned factory. So it feels very stuffy and smells like medicine. So we really can't breathe, right? As soon as we cut, we immediately go outside to breathe. Because it's so stuffy," continued Keisya.
Keisya's statement was immediately confirmed by Ummy Quary. "So the set is not something that was artificially made. But it really is a set that already exists from the factory," she added.
Despite the shooting location having a creepy impression, Keisya Levronka really enjoyed the pleasant shooting atmosphere, even from night until morning.
"Yes, it was really fun, Kak. I mean, despite the horror genre of the film. And we shot in the morning, at night like that. But throughout the shooting process, it was very enjoyable. Just joking around, right? Yes, it was very fun," said Keisya Levronka.
However, there was one scene that they found very difficult. But, Ummy Quary did not want to specifically explain clearly what that scene was.
"But if there’s a very serious scene, there’s one scene that I, Keisya, and Kak Fajar found very difficult, (that scene) is basically," said Ummy. "(The scene) that requires a lot of emotion," added Keisya.

PAMALI: TUMBAL tells the story of Princess Dewi Kuncoro, a village girl who lives simply with her mother. One day, the mother suddenly disappears mysteriously after taking 'tumbal' money from the road. Not staying silent, the Princess along with her two friends, Kiki and Cecep, decides to search for her mother, leading them into a dangerous supernatural world.
They must face the terror of small tuyul and a black kuntilanak with deadly powers. The adventure takes them through forbidden forests, abandoned houses, and haunted factories. This story conveys an important message about "pamali", a prohibition or taboo in the culture that, if violated, can bring disaster.
