Reza Artamevia Reported for Alleged Fraud and Money Laundering of IDR 18.5 Billion

This report was filed by someone with the initials IM on Friday (15/11/2024). The Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, confirmed the existence of the report.

"Yes, on November 15, today, we received a report from sister IM regarding the alleged fraud or embezzlement in conjunction with participation or money laundering. The reported parties are sister RA and sister RD," said Ade Ary.

1. Diamond Business

This case began with an invitation from Reza Artamevia and RD to IM to invest in the diamond business. Reza and RD promised significant profits from the business, which ultimately tempted IM to join.

According to Ade Ary, the victim handed over money in stages until it reached a total of IDR 18.5 billion. As collateral, the reported party provided nine diamonds to IM. However, problems arose when IM decided to check the authenticity of the diamonds.

"Nine months later, the reporter checked the nine diamonds that were used as collateral. After checking, it turned out that they were not real diamonds, but imitation diamonds," explained Ade Ary.

2. Send a Summons

Feeling aggrieved, IM then sent a summons to Reza and RD to request the return of the money that had been deposited. However, the summons did not receive a response from the reported parties.

"Until the making of this police report, the reported parties have not returned the money. This is the incident reported by the victim, and this is what our investigative team will delve into," added Ade Ary.

The significant loss in this case has attracted public attention. The Metro Jaya Police have received the report and will soon investigate this case further regarding the parties involved.
