Kapanlagi.com - Ria Irawan passed away on Monday (6/1) morning. This is certainly a sad news that once again envelops the entertainment world of the homeland. Previously, the public was shocked by the death of Sule's ex-wife, Lina.
When confirmed by the Kapanlagi.com team via telephone, Mayki Wongkar, Ria Irawan's husband, confirmed this news. "Yes (Ria) just passed away, it was during the dawn prayer," said the man who faithfully accompanied the deceased when she fell ill, with a trembling and slightly weak voice.
Ria Irawan fought against the cancer and tumor she had been suffering from for quite some time and passed away at RSCM (Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital), Jakarta. This hospital has also been the place of treatment since her health declined some time ago. Mayki also confirmed this, stating that Ria passed away while still at RSCM.
When contacted by the Kapanlagi team, Mayki could not hold back the grief he felt. "Indeed, it's critical, sir (sobbing), I will ask you later, sir, I have to take care of this first," he said, ending the phone call.
Since September last year, Ria herself has undergone a series of treatments, both inside and outside the hospital. Her condition has fluctuated and improved, and she was even able to communicate smoothly.
"Still receiving outpatient treatment. Yesterday, she had an MRI scan of her head. Alhamdulillah, her speech has become much smoother. Please pray for her recovery," said Dewi Irawan, Ria's sister, in October 2019.
As known, in 2014, Ria Irawan was diagnosed with stage 3 C endometrioid cancer. After undergoing chemotherapy for 1.5 years, Ria was declared cancer-free. However, in 2017, the cancer cells reappeared in her diaphragm and had spread to her lungs.
It is also known that there is a tumor in Ria's head. The tumor in her head caused difficulty in speaking and loss of balance.
In August 2019, Ria's condition weakened, and she had to undergo treatment at RSCM since September 1 and was allowed to leave the hospital on September 14, 2019.
